Frequently Asked Questions

Do you supply the alcohol?
Due to Oregon liquor laws, Burro & Sage is a dry-hire mobile bar. While we can’t purchase alcohol on your behalf, we’ll create a custom shopping list with exact quantities so you know just what to buy for your event.

What is your alcohol service policy?
For safety and compliance, all alcohol at your event must be served from our bars and by our OLCC-licensed bartenders. Guests are welcome to provide their own alcohol, but it must still be poured and served by our team.

Please note:

  • Our liquor liability insurance only applies to alcohol served by Burro & Sage bartenders. If outside alcohol is consumed without our service, liability shifts to the host.

  • We do not serve shots, doubles, or beverages resembling shots (including drinks served “neat”). Spirits may be served “on the rocks.”

Are you insured?
Yes! Burro & Sage Mobile Bar carries full coverage, including liquor liability insurance. We also strongly recommend that event hosts carry their own Special Event Liability insurance for added peace of mind.

Where are you located, and do you travel?
We’re based in Grants Pass, Oregon. Travel within 30 miles is included in our base pricing. That said, our wheels were made for adventure — we’re happy to travel farther for your celebration. Just reach out and we’ll discuss the details!

What is your payment and refund policy?
A $200 non-refundable retainer is required to secure your date.

  • Payments made 31–90+ days before the event are refundable (minus the retainer).

  • Cancellations within 30 days of your event are non-refundable.

  • Payments collected within the final 30 days are also non-refundable.

Need to reschedule? No problem — we’ll transfer your booking at no additional fee, though refund timelines are still based on your original date.

Do you have a rain date policy?
Because we book far in advance, we’re unable to accommodate rain dates. Hosts are responsible for providing tent cover in case of inclement weather. We’re happy to coordinate with your tent vendor to ensure the right fit for our bar setup.

What are the technical requirements for setup?

  • Flat, level ground for setup and service.

  • Clear access for setup and breakdown.

  • The Vintage Horse Trailer Bar requires access to power within 75 feet.
    – No power? No problem. We can provide a generator as an add-on.

How far in advance should we book?
Our calendar fills quickly during peak season, so booking early is always best. However, cancellations do happen — so it’s always worth reaching out to check availability.
